ASA/USA Softball National Office seeking Managing Director of Marketing

 

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK---The Amateur Softball Association (ASA)/USA Softball, the National Governing Body of Softball in the United States, seeks applicants for the position of Managing Director of Marketing. This individual’s primary responsibility will be the marketing, promotion, and execution of all sponsorship and licensing initiatives from the National Office in Oklahoma City.

 

This position is full-time and includes a benefits package.

 

Interested applicants should include a résumé and a cover letter explaining why they wish to fill the position. Applicants will be screened and a select number could be invited to interview in Oklahoma City. The successful candidate will be brought on board as soon as possible.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of various business relationships relating to sponsor benefits and association benefits.
  • Plan, develop and implement key marketing strategies and partnerships targeting existing and new markets.
  • Direct all related sponsor activities including, but not limited to, signage, merchandise, event logistics and television production.
  • Track and maintain licensee fees and royalty reports.
  • Field inquiries from interested sponsors and solicit new business opportunities.
  • Direct the sale of all advertising for all publications and websites including rate cards, billing and traffic.
  • Develop official equipment supplier pool for ASA/USA Softball national teams, including supplier contracts.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Education/Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in sports marketing preferred, or equivalent education/work experience.
  • At least three years experience in sports marketing at a management position.

 

Required/Desired Skills:

·        Excellent written and oral communication skills.

·        Strong interpersonal relations skills, sound judgment, professional demeanor and patience.

·        Organizational skills, time management skills and attention to detail.

·        Enjoy working with technology and ability to use data to make decisions.

·        Computer skills desired: Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Adobe Photoshop.

·        Content marketing, email marketing and web analytics a plus.

·        Work some weekends and occasional travel domestically and internationally.

 

The pay range for this position is $50,000 - $65,000.
