I've been hanging out with members of the local startup scene recently and I
must say, I've been pleasantly surprised at the vibrancy of the community.
Every week there are 2 - 3 events, the majority of which involve free or
cheap alcohol, and include people from all points within the startup
spectrum (founders, lurkers, job seekers, etc.).
If you're interested in meeting some new people in the startup scene, check
out the following resources:

*Seattle 2.0 – *Sign up for their newsletter, they are a great resource for
startup events around the area: http://www.seattle20.com/

*http://blog.npost.com* – Nathan has his finger all over the startup pulse
around here. Keep an eye on his blog for various events.

*Hops and Chops* – Linda’s Tavern every Thursday from 6:30 – 9:00 (
http://www.hopsandchops.com/).

*Startup Drinks* – Monthly drinks at a bar somewhere in Seattle (
http://seattle.startupdrinks.com/).

*NWEN* – www.NWEN.org <http://www.nwen.org/> (Northwest Entrepreneurial
Network)

*Startup Coffee* – Tuesday mornings from 8:30 – 10:00 at Louisa’s in
Eastlake (http://upcoming.yahoo.com/event/172734/)

There's also the Seattle Tech
Startup<http://seattletechstartups.com/mailman/listinfo/organize>mailing
list if you're really interested in the scene. It's pretty heavy
volume, but some interesting conversations crop up a couple times/week.
