Controlling amanda dumps by cron

Hi,

I'm looking for a FAQ or Howto describing how to use CRON to control 
amanda backups. My problem is to prevent cron from execution if the 
right tape has not been inserted. I don't have a tape changer. May be
the person responsible for changing the tape fell ill or for some 
other reason (holiday, vacation) wasn't able to change it. Holding 
disk capacity will be exceeded very quickly.
