I assume you have multiple dump images in the holding disk and it's the
total size of them that's large, rather than a single huge image that
won't fit on a tape, right?
Run amflush once and let it process what it can. Then run it again.
And again. Eventually it will get the disk cleaned out, one tape worth
at a time.
