working xinetd file for RH7

Does anyone have working amanda, amandaidx, and amidxtape files for xinetd
under RH7.  The default one that was install with a fresh install of the
distro doesn't work correctly.  In fact, unless this is correct, when I
opened the amanda file it had 'service amandaidx' at the top.  I have since
change it to 'service amanda' and still can't get it to work.  The error I'm
getting is

protocol packet receive: Connection refused
selfcheck request timed out. Host down?

Any ideas?
