sednsize problem

I have followed many threads to get me beyond many hurdles. My current
hurdle has been spoken of before, but I could not find the resolution.

sendsize.debug has a line in it that say:
could not lock /etc/amandates: Invalid argument

Could someone give me a little boost over this hurdle? :)
