I want to back up a laptop that is only sometimes on the network. I'd love
to roll this into our main daily set since setting up a whole 'nother tape
for this 10-20g drive is not what I feel like doing.

The laptop in question is a Win98 box.

My idea is to force the user to hook into the network at a predetermined
time and backup his stuff (smbclient tar-wise) to his home directory on a
drive that is already being backed up daily. That way, this large tar will
get backed up and we'll be good to go.

Two problems:
1) No decent way to do incrementals
2) Two-stage recovery

Any input?
