I used amrecover (on my tapehost, samba unix box, amanda server) and amrecover> setdisk //grace/d$ 200 Disk set to //grace/d$ and it worked like a charm! (just use exact same syntax for your Samba share in the amrecover command as you did in your disklist entry) It did take a lot of time for the tape to be searched and positioned. I'll try your example syntax with the Samba Mount next, checking that the permissions are retained the same on the data that has been restored. -Kevin
