This error message is really quite self explanatory: you did not give
configure the "--with-user" argument. You can type "./configure --help"
to see a brief description of all the options that configure understands,
or you can read the documentation in the docs sub-directory (especially
docs/INSTALL section 1.1 paragraph F) to read all about it.
