tcp port

i configure amanda 2.4.2p2 with ./configure  --prefix=/usr/local/amanda --with-user=amanda --with-group=disk --with-portrange=800,830 --with-udpportrange=800,830   however, after using tcpdump, i find out that it use udp port 800,830, but tcp port 3xxxx. could somebody tell me why?! thanks.   fred
