Joe,

Have you checked the basic stuff?

Is the holding disk really being used? "amstatus" should tell you.

Has the holding disk enough "bandwith" to for recieving and writing
dumps _at the same time_? With tape drives that fast it might become
difficult to backup other parts of the same disk (or even other disks
on the same controller) at the same time.

On new systems SCSI termination is a comon cause of error.
