There was some discussion of this back in May and then again in June. At
that time, there was no "restore" program available from MacOS X (but "dump"
did exist!?), and GNU tar was horrendously slow. Perhaps 10.1 remedies one
or more of those problems, but I haven't seen any reports yet.
