I'm still just studying Amanda --- no real usage experience yet.
But I do know  you have to label the tapes to match what
Amanda expects them to be called   (so you can't accidentally
overwrite any other tape).

I think you use  "amlabel".   Or something like that.
So did you pre-label the tapes?
