Hi, I am currently investigating a backup for small group of machines.
Amanda is one of the solutions , but I cannot found answers to some questions : - can amanda-2.4.2p2 work without a tape drive but with a simple disk file ? I have read that amanda-2.5 (i.e. the cvs) can do this. right ? And what is the state of the cvs ? alpha ? beta ? "almost stable" ? - I have found a patch to use a CD-RW (http://www.tivano.de/opensource/amanda/amanda.html) Is this patch works with amanda-2.4.2p2 ? Thanks you for any hint. FC
