Why doesn't amanda use as much tape as I am giving it? I have amanda configured to use two tape drives ( AIT SDX1-25C tapes ). My tapetype states that the tapes are 24192 Mb in size. It filled the first tape and used only used 8+ Gb of the second. Does amanda ever promote dump levels or only demote them to reduce the dump size?
