Hi, I'm newbie in Amanda. I have installed Amanda 2.4.2p2 under Solaris 8 in a SunFire 280 machine. I compiled Amanda with options by default and changed the default path to --prefix=/software/amanda, so I have Amanda under /software/amanda
I add the next lines to /etc/inetd.conf amanda dgram udp wait amanda /software/amanda/libexec/amandad amandad amandaidx stream tcp nowait amanda /software/amanda/libexec/amindexd amindexd amidxtape stream tcp nowait amanda /software/amanda/libexec/amidxtaped amidxtaped and to /etc/services amanda 10080/udp # Amanda backup services amandaidx 10082/tcp # Amanda backup services amidxtape 10083/tcp # Amanda backup services I have the permissions set on all of the files so that Amanda can read, write and execute.
