I didn't realize this until I was cleaning up some code yesterday, but
you can enter more than one letter at that prompt separated by commas
or whitespace.  So you should have been able to do:

  a, b, c

When that was done, you could do another amflush to pick off the rest
(or do another subset, etc).

I've taken a note to myself to get this in the man page.
