Why OUT OF SPACE? No erros!! > in amanda.conf: Actually, only 4GB made it tape, as indicated above. There probably was some sort of tape error, which amanda interpreted as an out of space error. Look in your system logs for something relating to the tape drive at around the time the backup failed. Also, make sure that hardware compression is *off*, since you are using software compression.
