Also a helpful expert told me this... Myself, for my 1 windoze box, I compiled an amanda client under cygwin, including an appropriate version of gnutar and the exclude list works fine. Not a good general windoze solution as it requires installation of cygwin, a newer version of gnutar than provided by cygwin, and amanda.
