i have compiled amanda --without-amanda-hosts so that it uses rhosts authentication. still i copied .rhosts file to .amandahosts. still it doesnt work. but rsh from the server to the client as amanda works passwordless. the same setup did in a RH7.2 works fine. i really need this to be done. has anyone faced similar problems if so how to rectify this. thanks in advance --vijay
