 Hello,

i guess the udp packets are timing out on your firewall.
The timeout might allow smaller estimates, but break larger filesystems.

Can you check firewall logs for denied udp packets from Amanda Client
to Amanda Server?

Do you use dump or gnutar? dump estimates are often faster than
gnutar estimates. Using dump might be a workaround.

  Ciao
