I use Amanda with Samba to back up a Windows machine. Samba 3.0.0 was released mere days ago, and it doesn't seem to play nicely with Amanda 2.4.4p1. They changed their output formatting ever so slightly. Here is an example of the new format:
<69 [EMAIL PROTECTED] client-src>smbclient //khatuna/gesichert -U 'amanda%*****' -E -d0 -Tqca ~/tmp/test.tar smbclient: Can't load /usr/local/lib/smb.conf - run testparm to debug it [2003/09/27 21:58:57, 0] client/clitar.c:process_tar(1433) tar: dumped 49 files and directories [2003/09/27 21:58:57, 0] client/clitar.c:process_tar(1434) Total bytes written: 16466432
As You can see, the "Total bytes written" part is indented.
For what it's worth, I've submitted a bug about this to samba:
https://bugzilla.samba.org/show_bug.cgi?id=446
as I don't think smbclient should have changed its output format.
