Run as user amanda issues

Hello,     I can get amanda to run if I su amanda then run the job manually.  Cron doesn’t seems to want to run Amanda as root, not amanda.  In the amanda.conf, I’ve got the dump user configured as amanda.  Any suggestions?     Thanks.
