^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ and this is your problem: your backupserver can not reverse-lookup your client. it took the ip-adress and asked your nameserver for the name of your client host and got a bad answer back. Fix the reverse-mapping of your client ip-adress and amrecover will be much happier. Christoph
