Is there a simple way to amcheck to see if the clients are responding properly without checking the tape ?
amcheck -c TheConfig
ie: jukebox is at a satellite office and has no new tapes (all tapes are ACTIVE and can not be overwritten) and running amcheck to see if the client where I just hup'd inetd, is working, is slooow. I don't know that amanda version or even OS matters, there isn't a standard switch for this non-standard issue. Is there a way to ping the client port ?
