On the client amanda starts the following command: /bin/tar --create --file /dev/null --directory /pst --one-file-system --listed-incremental /var/lib/amanda/gnutar-lists/pst_pst_0.new
What happens if you run that command by hand? (And wait until completion, obviously.)
