It's hard for us to say what is in /var/lib/amanda/ or /etc/amanda/ or /var/log/amanda/ You should save the index directory that is usually in the amanda user home directory. That you save it one way (tar and scp) or another (amadmin export) or both, it is up to your policy. Olivier
