Hi Marc, I've been successfully runing amanda with L9/LTO (more than 5 years) C2/LTO3 for, 2 years (?) and just (two weeks ago) installed a second C2/LTO3 on another amanada server.
All installations are running well, though I did put in place a modified file for mtx, will have to check and see if there isn't a newer version of the script as I attached the second L9/LTO to the system with the second C2/LTO3 and has some errors when running commands against the L9, though it seems to work perfectly when I operate the C2. Was thinking of perhaps crossposting to amanda and mtx lists later today. Last nights backups to the new C2/LTO3 was 440 Gig, with HW compressions enabled on the LTO3, so I don't actually know how much tape was consumed. Probably I should tell you I'm running these configs on Solaris 9 and 10 systems (T2000 and v240 servers).
