Dump & Write

When backing up multiple hosts, is it possible to dump and write at the 
same time?

Some hosts the dumps get done quick and are stucking waiting for 8hours 
for level 0 dumps to finish.

It seems like it is wasting alot of time.

Can I force amanda to write the dumps it has finished while it is still 
dumping?

I am dumping to hard disk.
