This is a little off-topic but relevant since we're all more or less in the same position in that we're using tape arrays of some sort...

The DLT-8000 drive in my L9 has been running slower and slower over the past week, and now is not working at all. I suspect all the rollers, etc. for the tape path are starting to give up.

Can any generic DLT-8000 raw drive be used to replace the existing one? I believe they're all made by Quantum. Other than the tape drive issue, I've got Amanda working fine backing up all my systems including my Strongbolt/CentOS-based Cobalt Raq-4i system (my web server machine).
