If you post it to the list, it is quite likely that someone can point outwhether there is anything wrong with it. Just to make sure, does /dev/nst0 actually exist on your system? does the command 'mt -f /dev/nst0 status' output anything meaningful? Also, you mentioned that you labelled your vtapes during testing, but did you also label your LTO tapes?
