This is a really weird part of Amanda that is (unfortunately, IMHO)
being duplicated in new applications.  For non-Amanda clients, Amanda
requires that you use three different components:

  AMANDA SERVER -> AMANDA CLIENT -> BARRACUDA

where the first two components are running on the server system.  So
your DLE would look like:

localhost "//barracudama450.my.domain.com/path/to/interesting/data"

and you would configure the /etc/amandapass on the Amanda server.
