Hello, I'm running amanda 3.2.1. When writing a DLE to tape hits the end of the tape, this part is closed and a new part containing the remaining data is written to the next tape.
Instead I want the complete DLE to be restarted on the next tape. (Thats how it behaved with my Amanda 2.4.* configuration.) So I guess I am looking for a way to disable spanning. The wiki only speeks about enabling spanning (<http://wiki.zmanda.com/index.php/How_To:Split_Dumps_Across_Tapes>). It mentions setting runtapes and then explains the part_* parameters (which IMHO are about splitting, not spanning). (I have runtapes set to 15 and no part_* parameters set.) But in my case spanning automically works, even without splitting! So I am looking for a way to disable spanning. Thanks, Sven
