I'm not 100% on it...

Can that error be ignored and you can still amdump then?

The DLE was constructed as an include/exclude but I think the problem is that
combination of user and setgid?

"amandabackup" user would not be able to cd to it, no. I also notice the

So you know what the problem is.

If the solution was obvious, you would not post a question.
Why not provided more information? nobody can help you with just an error
message.
  - the selfcheck debug file
  - the dle (output of amadmin CONF disklist HOST /export/some/directory)
  - ...

Hi

I'm seeing this from an amcheck Config at the moment. If I comment the DLE it
warns about, it'll happen on the next one too.

service selfcheck: selfcheck: Failed to chdir(/export/some/directory/):
Permission denied

Do the amanda user is allowed to cd to that directory?

This is using SSH.

I'm can't see a problem client side at the moment - any pointers?

thanks
