So, it seems that amanda can only do ONE include file (just from your experimental evidence; I’m not an expert on that, so I”m not answering that question).
How about having your code, which generates the AUTO list, start by making a copy of the MANUAL list, and append the auto entries at the end of that file? New every day, but including a copy of the fixed list at the beginning.
