Dunno. amavisd-new 2.1.2/2.3.2 (different system MTAs) here. Postfix
(2.1.5 thru 2.2.5, working with Courier maildrop and Maildir/ file
format).

I'm the Postfix (2.1.5, 2.2.5) mailadmin.

Personally, I cp the banned file to the user's Maildir/new directory and
give it a unique Maildir/ like name. "It just works".
