Glad to hear it all worked out for you.   To clarify, it was *postfix* that
initiated and processed the re-delivery, by re-injecting into amavis, from
the point it left off previously.

You can delete the old, inactive amavis temporary MIME unpacking
directories.  Amavis cleans up after itself in normal cases, but will leave
such directories for the admin in cases of trouble.  You delete those as you
see fit.
