As the OP's logs show, postfix "looks inside" the quotes (This is
configurable via resolve_dequoted_address). but for purists, this is
incorrect (space is valid inside quotes). It is the sender's
responsibility to correctly set his own address.

Back to the OP's problem: I can't reproduce it here (postfix-2.2.6,
amavisd-new-2.3.3).
