Here is a setting just for you (not really just for you:),
available with 2.4.4-rc1 (just announced):

# BADH tests: other mime 8bit control empty long syntax missing multiple

# disable check for (invalid) non-encoded 8-bit chars in header:
$allowed_header_tests{'8bit'} = 0;
