It is good (assuming the # was a command line prompt
and not typed at the start of a line).

You should be doing this test as a user under which amavisd
is running, and make sure the perl is the same program (path)
as specified in the first line of your file 'amavisd', e.g.:

  su vscan -c '/usr/local/bin/perl -e "use BerkeleyDB"'
