Hi,

I recently had problems concerning encrypted emails so I investigated a bit.
Currently amavisd-new seems to do the following:

attachments containing an encrypted archive (e.g. zip) are marked as
UNDECIPHERABLE, the mail gets flagged with CC_UNCHECKED.

A gpg-encrypted attachment (correctly detected by file as "GPG encrypted
data") is not marked or treated in any special way, it is delivered to the
recipient even if I want to ban CC_UNCHECKED.

A mail encrypted with PGP/MIME or S/MIME is not marked or treated in any
special way, it is delivered to the recipient even if I want to ban
CC_UNCHECKED.

Is there any reason to treat encryption differently based on the method used?

Wouldn't it make sense to mark gpg encrypted files and PGP/MIME and S/MIME as
CC_UNCHECKED too?

Kind regards,

Gerd
