That needs to be fixed in SpamAssassin. Haven't looked at it yet.
It's hard these days to get any non-IPv6 host for testing
close to me :)

Don't remember details, I guess it just goes along the fact that
practically all FreeBSD ports with a config option for controlling ipv6
have this option turned on by default nowadays. With seven /8's
remaining in the IANA pool (2%) and about 10% remaining space
in APNIC, ARIN and RIPE it seems prudent to ship any new software
with IPv6 enabled by default, considering how long it takes for
some sites to do upgrades.

The IO-Socket pm is just fine for amavisd on an IPv4-only host.
