I have spent quite some time looking for a decent Perl IDE (and I mean
IDE, not just an editor) with debugging capabilities. Alas, my search
was not fruitful. Years back, I had a go with EPIC [1], but it is
incompatible with current Eclipse releases. Then there's Padre [2], or
at least there was Padre, which now also looks dormant-verging-on-dead
to me.

I'm looking for an IDE with macOS support if I can get it, Linux as a
second best option, and Windoze 10 as a very reluctant last choice. Not
meaning to be greedy or anything, but I am personally quite fond of
IntelliJ and its Python-focused sibling PyCharm, but of course JetBrains
does not have a Perl IDE in store.
There is camelcade for idea which isn't that bad. Nowadays I mostly use VS
Code for most IDE work. There are also several Perl extensions availabe, but
beside of basic code support I didn't use them much.
