[~absolute0], glad it worked for you.  You don't need to have a publicly 
routable domain name.  It just needs to work on your internal network.
[~subin11], please check your /etc/yum.repos.d/ambari.repo has been updated per 
http://incubator.apache.org/ambari/1.2.1/installing-hadoop-using-ambari/content/ambari-chap7.html.
  If you have done that and you are still seeing issues, run "yum clean all".
