bradley childs created AMBARI-2380:
--------------------------------------

Summary: changing the smoke test user prevents hadoop install
                 Key: AMBARI-2380
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/AMBARI-2380
             Project: Ambari
          Issue Type: Bug
         Environment: RHEL
            Reporter: bradley childs

after the ambari install and during the hadoop cluster provisioning, if the
user changes the smoke_test_user in the map/reduce options from ambari_qa to
mapred the installation of hadoop never completes.

there is no error, only warnings "hadoop command not found" while trying to
execute smoke test. if you inspect the system, the hadoop packages are never
installed.

1. install ambari server + agent on a cluster
2. start the hadoop cluster setup
3. chose HCFS + map / reduce as install components (possibly same for HDFS
selection)
4. register + setup agents
5. during configuration go to map/reduce options tab and change the "smoke test
user" from ambari_qa to mapped
6. finish the install.
7. notice that in the warnings "hadoop command not found". or inspect the agent
systems and note that hadoop RPMs are not installed.
