Hi folks So I installed a four node Ambari cluster and all was well. Then I unplugged one of the machines. The UI correctly turned that node to 'red' master down status. I powered the node back up waited a while, the host status changed to 'yellow' .. No heartbeat and that's as far as it went.
Q: is the ambari agent supposed to auto-restart when the host is powered on? Q: what exactly does a component have to provide in order to be bound into the health status/heartbeat mechanism? Is it looking at pid files? Or is it different for every component? Basically, how does the agent determine the status of a component..? thanks
