Ivo Ladage - van Doorn commented on AMDATU-72:
----------------------------------------------

using '*;resolution=optional' is a quick way of getting a framework up and
running in an OSGi container without the need to enter the dependency hell in
advance, spending days in advance on defining the proper imports/exports before
you can even poc the framework. For that reason, the resolution=optional was
used.
Now I agree that this should be changed, which is exactly what Angelo did; he
replaced the resolution=optional with actual import/export. I wonder how he
came to this list; try and error or did he use some tooling for it? Apparently,
the list is not fully correct. So that is the reason why I pointed to Angelo.
Anyway, this issue is fixed and I'll create a separate issue to re-investigate
package imports/exports of all artifacts previously using resolution=optional

> Updating the Shindig bundle breaks it

> When you update the Shindig bundle, it logs 'Fake Guice servlet not yet
> available, sleeping for 1 second... (... retries left)' 5 times and then
> causes a stacktrace.
> As a consequence the dashboard doesn't work anymore
