Login gadget relies on shindig.host being set

In the shindig configuration file it is said shindig.host is not long used:
# shindig.host is not used anymore, but remains here since Guice requires this
config
# entry to invoke the container coniguration
shindig.host=null
This will break the login gadget however because it tries to call the following
url:
http://null:8080/gadgets/js/core:rpc.js?container=default&nocache=1&debug=0&c=0
This problem might be more general and not specific for the login gadget, but
this is hard to test if the login gadget is not working.
