We adopted some existing dashboard code that was more generic and could add a
"widget" (while discussing it, we called that an instance of a gadget) to a
dashboard. However, since widget is very overloaded (and probably mistaken for
W3C Widgets by most) we should remove all references to the term "widget" in
our codebase and call them "gadget" everywhere.
