This generic utilities library, or dumping ground, will be removed. Consider
using commons-* instead.
This task should not only remove these utilities, but also refactor all
existing code not to use them anymore. Like mentioned above, the code should be
updated to either use commons-* or simply embed a specific utility class or
method in its own codebase.
Part of this task is estimating the impact. Refactoring only includes the core.
Subprojects can for now keep depending on already released artifacts, and then
move away from them at their own pace.
